Base fee, rental, transaction fee, maintenance: legacy POS providers hide costs. An honest comparison.
Hidden costs of legacy POS
Legacy vendors advertise a low base fee but charge for terminal rental, maintenance flat fees and transaction fees on top. Small clubs often end up paying more than large operators.
What Zomk does differently
We charge one single fee — invoiced after the event. No subscription, no rent, no setup cost.
- 3.0% to 1.5% depending on gross revenue
- Minimum €40 per terminal
- Stripe card fees go directly to Stripe (~1.4% + €0.25 for EU cards)
Example: village fête with €25,000 gross
| Item | Legacy | Zomk | |---|---|---| | Rental (3 terminals, 3 days) | ~€450 | €0 | | Setup / training | ~€200 | €0 | | Transaction fee | 2.9% | 3.0% | | Total | ~€1,375 | ~€750 |
